About

Education
I hold a B.A. in Political Science and Pre-Medical studies from Haverford College, and an MSc in Health, Community and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
After receiving my masters, I worked for several years in healthcare consulting, community healthcare programming, and clinical trials research before returning to school to study clinical psychology. I completed a post-baccalaureate certificate program in psychology at Columbia University and earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The City College of the City University of New York (CCNY).
Clinical Training
GRADUATE
I worked for four-years as a psychology trainee at The Psychological Center of City College. In my fourth year of doctoral training, I was awarded a clinical fellowship to work as a counselor at Hunter College Elementary School, and worked as a Psychology Extern at both Greene Clinic, and the New York Presbyterian Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Latinx Language & Culture Team.
PRE DOCTORAL
I completed my predoctoral internship at New York University School of Medicine - NYCHHC Bellevue Hospital Center where I received extensive training in trauma-related disorders and severe mental illness, as well as training in diagnostic assessment, couples and family therapy, psycho-oncology, and psychological support for individuals navigating end-of-life considerations.
POST DOCTORAL
I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at SoHo CBT Therapy and Mindfulness Center where I received training in ACT, mindfulness-based treatments, and couples therapy.
I’ve completed additional trainings in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), Trauma Informed Yoga through Exhale to Inhale, and Nonviolent Communication through NYCNVC.
Research
My research has focused on the intersection of stigma, bias, and improvement of access to mental health services for BIPOC individuals in the United States.
My dissertation research focused on the intersection of diagnostic accuracy of childhood ADHD and minority group membership. It was fully funded by a Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership Graduate Fellowship, and won The City College Kenneth and Mamie Clark Psychology Departmental Award for research that furthers our understanding of psychology and race in America.
